WRITTEN REFERENCES:
These are some of the written comments I have received on some of my puppies. I do keep in touch with our customers, so please keep that in mind. I don't sell you a puppy and then never have contact again! Phone numbers are also available if you would like to speak with some of my customers about their experience with us and their babies!
Hi Stephanie: (Roger & Claudette giving a reference, Roger flew here from Canada) Chris Hillman has let us know that you are considering getting a pup. We made contact with her a few months ago after coming across her web site (www.camsnowbabies.com). We spoke with her quite a number of times and exchanged e-mails in arranging a visit to Idaho Falls to be able to see Boomer and decide if he was the right pup for us. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed we were with the information and news she gave us concerning her dogs and the way that they are raised. When I visited it was very obvious how all the dogs and pups are very well cared for and they are all so beautifully socialized with each other and their human companions. Since arriving home with Boomer, we have had nothing but pride, pleasure and very much happiness with him. He is an absolutely adorable puppy who gets along well with our many dog owner friends and their dogs as well as children. Stephanie, I am completely confident that your decision to buy a puppy from Chris will be an awesome experience from the outset and well into the future. Not only will you have a gorgeous example of this wonderful breed, but a very well raised and socialized puppy. Please do not hesitate in giving us a call if you have any questions or need more information. Our number is xxx. Best Regards Roger & Claudette Spence
(Melissa from Texas)Well, I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with Paris - she is just perfect, we now call her Perfect Paris - haha! Honestly, she is just so sweet and beautiful. You guys did a great job socializing her. She has never missed a beat - acts like she's been with us all along. My daughter came over yesterday and was just enamoured with her personality - she's so outgoing. I got a really cute picture of her sleeping in the toy bucket yesterday, but I accidentally deleted all of the pics off my camera before downloading them. I'm sure I'll get more in the next few days. And, the cat, oh my God, the cat. They love each other! At first, she was a little timid around the cat (for all of 2 seconds!) - but then she warmed right up. The cat is an outdoor cat so he craves attention when any of us goes outside. Unfortunately, this made potty training a little difficult because when I take her outside all she wants to do is play with the cat (and visa versa). So, I got wise to that, and when I take her out, I put the cat in the house, and then she has no problem doing her business. It just took me a little while to figure that one out! - Melissa, Texas
I hope your kids enjoy the pictures. Roxy is awesome! We take her to the yacht club often and she soaks up a ton of attention. We all feel so fortunate to have her in our lives, we couldn't ask for a better dog/companion/bed warmer/ floor cleaner/ face licker and best friend to everyone.
Thank You, June
Hi Kelly, (asked for references) I read the bio on Stitch and he sounds just like Roxy. Roxy is pretty much house trained also, that is a big bonus getting a house trained puppy with all his shots. Roxy is very playful with our other schnauzer, Bailey (6yrs) and with the children. We have more fun just watching her run around playing by herself, she loves to chase a ping pong ball and a stuffed squirrel. She also gets the older dog going, every morning after they go outside they wrestle around on the carpet. As far as the children, she's playful and loving. Roxy loves to lick, especially when you pick her up. I feel very lucky, Roxy has not chewed on furniture, shoes or anything like that. Roxy is not a yappy puppy but she will bark when she can't get to me downstairs (Roxy can go upstairs but has not attempted down) or when she sees another dog or person near our yard. When I put her in her kennel, she's quiet and either chews on her toys or sleeps. Roxy is in a larger kennel now, she can see what's going on and our other dog likes to be in with her. I couldn't ask for a better puppy, she's loving and cuddly and also fun and playful. I have had many schnauzers in my life and one never knows what kind of disposition they will have? I can't tell you how lucky I am to have found Roxy. If you have any other questions please feel free to email. If you do end up getting Stitch I would love to know what state he will live and how everything goes for you?
Take Care and Good Luck, June
Kelly- (asked for a reference) Just got my puppy last friday, I got Cally from the website, but I renamed her Chloe. I probably could talk on and on about my positive experiences with Chris, so if you want to call me I am available at XXXXX. I have been looking for puppies for about a year and after talking to breeders and actually going to some breeders (of which I wasn't impressed bc they sold tons of puppies --- puppy mill)--- I randomly stumbled on Chris' website and gave her a call. From the first minute I talked to her I knew she was great. She answered all my questions and even told me things I didn't even know about breeders. I live in Wisconsin and thus picked up Chloe at the airport, all of which was seamless. I was very nervous, but Chloe was on the flight Chris told me she was and in a cute little crate with blankets, toys, and an envelope with very important information about her, training stuff, info about raising mini schnauzers, food samples, etc. It is hard to tell you too much about my puppy since every puppy is a lot of work (just like having a child), but so far so good. Just took Chloe to the vet for a puppy check, he said she looks great. She has a little bacterial infection which is normal for puppies that the travel on the airplane (Chris warned me about this before I got her) and is getting cleared up with some inexpensive antibiotics. Even though I have my puppy, she has even responded very quickly to various questions i have about Chloe. So, to sum things up, Chris is a great breeder. Very honest, willing to answer lots of questions (I think I have spent around 2-3 hours on the phone talking with her as well as her sister trying to narrow down the puppy for me!) -- i can tell she definitely cares about her puppies. Hope this answers some of your questions. If you have any more, please don't hesitate to call me. -AnnMarie
"Tigger had his second visit at the vet yesterday for vaccinations, etc. He weighs 8 pounds now. Dr. Shrader, who is a schnauzer owner and afficionado, is impressed with Tigger's alertness, overall appearance, manners and responsiveness."
"Hiya,
We all wanted to let you know how tigger is doing. He is doing very well. He has adopted my mother-n-law alot. They are like 2 peas in a pod. Everyone love him. He goes everywhere with her. My mother and father in laws wanted me to thank you again. They recommend you to people. THey love the way you raised him. THey said you where a great breader. "Dear Chris, Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you but my e-mail was not working and I just got your message yesterday. We did change Ducky's name to Kaya (pronouced K I Y A). We thought that it went well with her last name Kasdan. Anyway, she is doing great! She was up to 4.1 lbs at her last vet visit. She has been taking her shots like a real trooper. No crying at all. She is chewing on everything. She loves fingers and toes. She knows her name and learns other commands very easy. She's very good about going to the bathroom outside. She will bark to let me know or stand by the back door. She loves all the kids and is so excited to see them when they get home from school. I' ve put her on a leash a few times but she acts as if it's a game, chewing and tugging on it. She loves to explore in her back yard. We just had to put up chicken wire across the whole fence so that she can't get out. She is a great watch dog. If anyone comes to the house she will bark and let them know that she is the boss. However, she stops when I tell her to stop. She loves to cuddle at bedtime and will go in and say goodnight to the little boys by going on their bed and giving them kisses. You were right when you said that she was a people person. She loves to be around us and to play with us. She's great at chasing the boys around the yard. She loves to steal socks from the laundry and run off with them like she is being sneaky and I say "hey, where are you going with that?" She just trots off like she's done something so great. She loves to bark to be expressive and its funny because you almost know what she's trying to say." J. Kasdan
This is the funniest one, one of our customers made the comment that when she went to pick up her pup there was another couple picking up a sheltie or something. When she seen how her baby arrived, lots of blankets and toys and a big package on the top of the crate & looking very comfortable, she felt sorry for the other pup, all it had was newspaper in the bottom of the crate, while hers had the puppy Hilton!
Our vet recently made the comment to me that he wishes people would do their homework before buying a puppy. If some local customers could see the difference between what they've purchased and what we raise, they would see they were "taken". If you would like a reference from our vet, please feel free to ask. He has met all of my dogs, and he's the only one I take my pups to!
